Cars in sandbox: Construction App Reviews

I found this app very well done although Im not so sure a 2 year old would be able to maneuver these vehicles. For one, they kept sliding backwards and it was often difficult to fine tune the movements, even for an adult!

Here is why i like the app--- I like the concept behind this app, I like that you can tilt the iPad to move the vehicle forward and backward. One of the vehicles - the one with the marbles - is hard to operates as an adult. The drawings on the sandbox wall were handy to know what to do! I do not like that there are links to Facebook within the app.

I thought this app was really cute. My daughter loves it. Since she is a preschooler this will go great with a Transportation Theme or even Community Workers. I love that kids get to move the trucks and use them as if they would in real life. They get a taste of what these vehicles do. They get to have fun doing it too :)

I think this app is a great idea, but there seem to be a few bugs to work out. My daughter, who is 3, gets frustrated because we cant figure out how to make the trucks stop/start/change directions on command. Its difficult to pick things up with the various claws and hooks because the truck is always moving, and then if we do get something scooped up, its a struggle to make the truck go where we want it too again. She really doesnt have any interest in playing it at all because of this, but Im keeping it for a little while in hopes that there is an update that improves the app. I think it could be really neat. Thanks!

These controls are impossible, my niece and nephew can not use this app, and frankly neither can I! Please make it easy to control, especially since that is supposed to be a selling point!

This is one go the best apps for children for the iOS! My son played this for an hour and loves it!

My son played this till the battery ran out on the iPad..... Its a great teacher of "if you dont at first succeed, then try and try again". We love this app!

My 4.5 year old and I both Like this game but the controls are A little hard to master without help.

My son, Logan, loves this app. He loves anything related to construction. He is special needs but is able to navigate this app well. I had a little trouble figuring out the controls but Logan seems to have them down pat. The animations are beautiful and fun. :-)

My son AND daughter (2&4) enjoy this app. They like to figure out the little levels. They enjoy using different kinds of trucks to pick up different things. Its fun, entertaining, and makes them think a bit. Very fun for the kids!

My 4 year old son loves his diggers in real life, and he immediately was drawn to this game. While the realistic trucks were the initial draw, now he loves to manipulate them and accomplish the tasks. It is just hard enough for him to not be too frustrating.

I love watching my grandson play with this app. He always gets a smile in his face when he completes a task. Great Job!

My son loves this app - its a little complex at first because the dump trucks, diggers, cranes have so many axes of movement, but it is worth persevering. Tilting the iPad moves the machines forwards and backwards and it took us some time to figure this out. We enjoy this app immensely.
